Driving to church on a Sunday morning during our Alaska trip, we spotted Denali. While just glimpses in openings on the highway, we decided the clear weather warranted a change of plans for the day. After church and lunch with friends, we made the drive up north to Denali National Park. We stopped at an overlook off of Rt 3 and enjoyed the view of the highest point in North America. After that, the higher altitude clouds rolled in and obscured the view for the rest of the day. However, the drive was stunning and well worth continuing on. This photograph was taken just south of Cantwell, in this gorgeous stretch of road through the wilderness.
