Barn on a Starry Night – Upstate New York
Posted by Vito Paratore on Thursday, 2 June 2016.
This past weekend, Melissa and I took a trip to visit some friends and family in the Rochester area. My cousins live in the rural area between Rochester and Buffalo. It gets fairly dark out there, so I try to take star photos whenever I’m up there to visit. I recently purchased new flash equipment. I experimented with lighting the barn and the foreground with it instead of my usually flashlight-painting. It takes a bit to get used to, but it is vastly more controllable than using flashlights. I am quite pleased with my result. You can see Mars glowing very brightly above the silo.
