Exploring the deserts of the American Southwest was special, but arriving at a place like Cottonwood Canyon and seeing the bright yellows of deciduous trees changing color for Fall was incredible. The contrast between what is “normal” in the Eastern US and the stark, arid landscape of the Southwest was fascinating.
