Snow on Fall Color – Elkmont Campground, Tennessee
Posted by Vito Paratore on Sunday, 12 November 2017.
Since I haven’t officially made a “bucket list,” I can’t check this off of it, but snow on fall color is one of those things I have always wanted to witness in person. I’ve seen some amazing photographs of this weather phenomenon from the mountains of Colorado and Oregon. Ironically, I had to drive 11 hours south of my home to find colder temperatures and snow. We woke up to this treat two weeks ago in Elkmont Campground in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We spent most of the day driving around trying to find the best place to capture it. Keep an eye out over the next couple weeks for the resulting photos.
