Spontaneity

Every once in a while, I will be searching through old photos and I’ll come upon the shot posted below. According to sharpness, depth of field, and exposure, this photo is pretty terrible. It may be an emotional attachment to the photo due to the memories of that trip, but I really like this photo. I’ve found it has a strong feeling of spontaneity. Looking at this image reminds me that photography isn’t just about technicals. In fact, the way you react to a photograph is far more important than if the image is sharp or well exposed.
